We shoot club events with the same routine. Get in,
gear up, and start shooting people. Every club
promoter wants the same bag of tricks: get pictures
of hot girls having a good time. Tonight was no
exception. We arrive on time, the bouncers give us
the casual head nod, tells the door person "these
guys are cool let them thru," and without missing a
beat we start shooting up the place.
Tonight was a little different from our usual experience. The people were more receptive to the photographers. Previously, people were very aware of our presence and would either pre-pose towards our general direction or run from the gun. Tonight's crowd wasn't the run of the mill. There was a different mix of people, some new faces. We also had a FireBox intern in training. He was hesitant starting off, he had some approach anxiety, but soon got in the game and was shooting like pro.
